Dev Ice Cream Parlour

Being over at Fatepura D 19 means we see a lot of different people every day. Dev Ice Cream Parlour is basically just a spot where we keep the freezers running and wait for the sun to go down so more folks show up. It’s not a very big shop. We spend a good chunk of the day checking the temperatures and making sure the stock is where it should be. Dealing with ice cream can be tricky when the power acts up or the compressor starts making a loud buzzing sound, but we manage. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others here. We keep the floor swept and the counters wiped down. It’s a simple setup. People from the nearby houses come in when it's hot out. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything. The sign outside says the name and that’s enough for people to find us. Fatepura is our home. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the place. Sometimes kids come in with their pocket money and it takes them forever to choose between the different tubs. We just wait and let them decide. There’s no rush. It’s just a neighborhood ice cream shop. We try to keep enough flavors so nobody leaves disappointed. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning until late at night. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it's quiet. It's just a normal way to earn a living.
