We’re over at the GIDC Industrial Estate in Makarpura, spread across a few different plots like 323, 331, and 335. Columbia Pakona Engineering has been in this spot for a long time. It’s a big area because engineering takes a lot of equipment and heavy parts. When you walk into the shop, it sounds like an industrial zone—lots of clanging metal and the hum of big machines. We make things for other businesses, mostly stuff involving packaging or concrete machinery. It’s technical work, and we spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and making sure the parts fit together. Sometimes things don’t go perfectly, and we have to spend the afternoon figuring out why a machine isn't behaving. We aren't some sleek tech company in a glass tower. We’re in Makarpura, where people get their hands dirty. Our floor is concrete and our walls are lined with tools we’ve used for years. We have a steady crew of engineers and mechanics who have been here through all sorts of projects. It’s about getting the machines built and shipped out to whoever needs them. We don't spend money on fancy signs or big parties. We just keep the machines running and make sure the orders are filled. It’s a lot of metal and grease, but it’s what we’ve always done here at our GIDC location. We just show up and build machines that work.
