We are located at units 323 to 325 in the GIDC Industrial Estate in Makarpura. It’s a large area, and we’ve taken up a few spots to fit all the machinery and parts we need. Columbia Machine Engineeing (I) Pvt Ltd has been part of the Makarpura landscape for a good many years. When you walk into our space, you'll see it’s a working factory through and through. There is grease on the floors and the smell of metal in the air. We don’t have a fancy reception area with a bowl of mints. Instead, you’ll find a few desks pushed together in the corner where we handle the billing and the phone calls. The guys on the floor know these machines inside and out. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting and making sure everything is aligned just right. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, everyone is ready to head home. We’ve seen the industrial estate change over time, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We focus on the engineering side of things and don't worry much about the rest. If a machine needs fixing, we fix it. If an order needs to go out, we get it loaded onto the truck. It’s a straightforward way of doing business without any of the extra fluff. We’re just a bunch of engineers and workers doing our jobs in Makarpura.
