Cluster Cement

Cluster Cement is located at 457/P in the Vadodara Palanpur Patia area. We are quite close to Gujarat Container, so there are always big trucks and heavy vehicles moving around our gates. The yard is usually covered in a thin layer of grey dust, which is just part of dealing with cement bags all day long. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading, so everyone here has a bit of a backache most of the time. It is physical work and it can be quite messy, especially when a bag tears or the wind picks up. Our office is just a small room with a desk that is also usually dusty no matter how many times we wipe it down. We keep track of the inventory in big ledgers and try to make sure the piles of bags are stacked safely so they don't topple over. The noise from the container yard next door is constant, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. Most of the people who stop by are contractors or drivers who have been coming here for years. We know most of them by name and usually have a quick chat while the loading is happening. It is a straightforward place where we just handle the heavy lifting and keep the supplies moving to different construction sites around the city. It isn't fancy but it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
