Ashmita Engineering Works

We've been here at C-20 in the Manjalpur area for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are right opposite Ambey School. It gets pretty busy around here when the kids are finishing classes, but otherwise, it is a quiet spot in Shivam Society. Ashmita Engineering Works is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It isn't a fancy place with glass doors or anything like that. Just a regular workshop where we handle the jobs that come in. Some days it is just small repairs and other times we have bigger projects that keep us working late. My desk is usually covered in papers and some metal scraps from whatever we were doing earlier. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. People stop by to ask if we can fix something or just to say hello on their way home. The building itself has seen better days, but it works for what we do. We like being in this part of town. It feels like home after so many years. The shop floor is always a bit dusty, no matter how much we sweep it, but that's just part of the work. We keep the tools organized as best as we can. It’s a straightforward life here at the society. We just try to get the work done right so people come back when they need us again.
