Ami Engineering Works

Ami Engineering Works is situated on Dutt Nagar Lane. You’ll find us right across from the big Asian Paints godown, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the place on the Wadi-Yamuna Mill Road in Pratapnagar. Our workshop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit all the necessary equipment in there over the years. It can get pretty loud when all the machines are running at the same time, but that’s just the nature of engineering. We mostly deal with local clients and people who walk in with something that needs fixing or a part that needs making. The lane can get a bit crowded with delivery vehicles, especially since the godown is right there, so things are always moving. We don't have a reception area or a waiting room. Usually, people just stand near the entrance and talk to us while we work. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other business owners on this street. It’s a community of people just trying to get through their daily tasks. We don't use any fancy software to manage our stuff; it’s mostly just notebooks and memory. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday, but we sweep up before heading home. It's a simple life and we enjoy the work we do here. It’s just a normal shop in a normal neighborhood.
