If you are looking for us, we are right in the Makarpura G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate. Our address is 605/A/15, and we are directly opposite the G.C.E.L. building, which is a good landmark if you get lost. The workshop is usually a mess of metal shavings and oil cans. That’s just how it goes when you’re doing engineering work all day. We have a few machines that have been with us since we started. They aren’t the newest models, but they get the job done right. The morning starts with us opening the shutters and getting the power running. The air in Makarpura is always thick with the sound of industry. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just seeing our sign as they drive past. We spend our days measuring parts and making sure the lathes are set correctly. It’s a lot of standing around on concrete floors, which can be tough on the feet. We keep a small stove in the back to make tea. It’s a simple life, focused on the metal and the machines. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just run Akshar Engineering Works and try to do a solid day's work.
