Ajay Engineering

Ajay Engineering is right here at 903 / 7 in the G.I.D.C. Estate Makarpura. It's a typical engineering shop. There is always the smell of metal and coolant in the air. We have a few lathes and some other equipment that’s seen better days, but they still work fine. My uncle started this place years ago. Now we just carry on. It’s not a shiny place. We have a lot of scrap metal piled up in the corner. Sometimes we sort through it when things are slow. The neighborhood is full of similar shops. We borrow tools from the neighbors sometimes. They borrow from us too. It’s a good community. The tea here is always strong. We drink it out of small glass cups. The floor is always covered in metal shavings. You have to wear thick boots. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk picks it up. Usually, it's just someone checking on a part. We don't do much marketing. People just know we are here. The G.I.D.C. area gets very busy around 5 PM. Everyone is trying to leave at once. We usually stay a bit later to finish up. It’s quiet then. We turn off the lights one by one. It’s a solid day’s work. Nothing more, nothing less.
