We’ve been here at plot 415 in the GIDC area of Ramangamdi for quite some time now. It’s right off National Highway 8 in the Por area. Most people around here know the spot. We mostly deal with forging work. It gets loud and hot in the workshop, but that’s just how the job is. The guys on the floor have been with us for years, and they know the machines inside out. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just keep the hammers going and make sure the parts are what the drawings say. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in traffic on the highway, which can be a real headache when we're trying to get things loaded. Vadodara is a good place for this kind of industry, plenty of people who understand the trade. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just show up, do the forging, and go home. The office is small and usually has some dust on the desks from the shop floor, but we get the paperwork done. If you're driving past on the way to the city, you can't miss the GIDC entrance. It's a busy place with lots of noise. We like the routine of it. Every day is about getting the steel right and meeting the schedule. It's honest work. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall near the highway during breaks. It's just a normal factory life here.
