Aakar Traders

Aakar Traders is situated in Anandi Phase I, within the G I D C area near the Gandigate Darwaja. Being in an industrial zone like G I D C means things are always moving. There are trucks everywhere and the sound of machines in the distance is something you just get used to. Our place is basically a big shed where we store all kinds of trading goods. It’s mostly metal parts, pipes, and some heavy-duty stuff. The floor is stained with oil and there’s always a bit of iron smell in the air. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. You just walk in and find one of us near the back or at the small desk near the door. We spend a lot of time checking invoices and making sure the counts are right. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, so we all have pretty calloused hands. The Gandigate Darwaja is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We get a lot of workers from the nearby factories coming in to pick up things they ran out of. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don’t have time for anything fancy. We just keep the doors open, load up the tempos, and keep the business running. When the sun hits the metal roof in the summer, it gets really hot, but we just drink a lot of water and keep going. It’s just steady work in a busy part of town.
