We started Sanwar Farmer Producer Company Limited because people around here needed a way to get things done together. You can find us at House Number 960 on Kasturba Marg right here in Sanwar. It’s not a big fancy office or anything, just a place where we manage the work for the local farmers. Dealing with crops and markets is tough when you're on your own, so we figured staying organized as a group makes more sense. My neighbor was talking about how hard the last season was and that's really why this company exists. We spend most of our time talking to folks in the village and trying to figure out the best way to move our harvests. It gets pretty busy around here during planting and picking times. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we get through it. People stop by the office on Kasturba Marg to ask questions or just to see what’s going on with the latest plans. It’s mostly just us trying to make the farming life a little more steady for everyone involved. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the area well. It feels good to have a dedicated spot in Sanwar where we can meet up. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on the storage. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just working the land and trying to keep the business side of things running straight.
