Guramkhedi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is the Guramkhedi Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our home base is House No. 1 in Ward No. 1 of Guramkhedi village. Starting this company was something we did because we wanted a collective voice in the market. This village is where our families have lived for a long time. There isn't a big staff here, just us farmers taking turns to look after the company work. House No. 1 serves as our main meeting point. Usually, there’s some tea and a lot of talk about the price of wheat or the cost of diesel. None of us are business experts. We just know how to grow things and manage the land. Joining together helps when it’s time to buy supplies for the next season. It is easier to get a better rate if we buy for fifty people instead of just one. Filling out forms for the government is probably the hardest part of the job. Most of us would much rather be out on our tractors. But keeping the company going is necessary. It’s a way for us to protect our interests and make sure the next generation has something solid to build on. No one here has fancy goals. The main thing is to keep farming and make sure everyone in the group gets a fair deal. We focus on what we can control and leave the rest to fate.
