Vanraj Mobile & Gift Shop

Down here in Dabok 32, we have this small shop where we sell mobile phones and a bunch of gift items. It’s a bit of a mix, really. One side of the shelf has chargers and screen protectors, and the other side has those big stuffed bears and shiny photo frames. People usually come in when they need a quick recharge for their phone or if they forgot a birthday and need a present fast. We started with just the mobile stuff, but then we realized people in Dabok wanted more variety, so we added the gifts. It’s not a fancy place. We have a small glass counter and some stools for people to sit on while they wait for their phone screen to get fixed. I do most of the minor repairs myself. It can be fiddly work with those tiny screws, and my eyes get tired by the end of the day. The shop stays quite busy because we are right near the main path. We get all kinds of people, from students looking for cheap headphones to older folks who need help figuring out their new smartphones. We don't use any complicated systems, just a simple notebook to keep track of what’s sold. Sometimes the internet is slow, which makes the digital payments a bit of a pain, but we manage. It’s a honest living and we get to talk to everyone in town. We stay open as long as there are people around.
