Shreeji Mobile Care

Shreeji Mobile Care is located right at the Malla Talai Malla Talai Chauraha. Being at a crossroads means there’s never a quiet moment. You hear the brakes of the trucks and the shouting of the street vendors all day long. My shop is small, basically just enough room for my repair tools and a stool. I focus mostly on fixing phones that people have given up on. It’s a lot of tiny screws and delicate ribbons. Sometimes my eyes get tired from looking through the magnifying glass. I’ve been at this Malla Talai location for a few years now. The walls are covered in posters that have started to peel at the corners. I don't really bother with the decor much. As long as I have my screwdrivers and a working light, I’m good to go. People drop off their phones and go run errands at the market, then come back later to see if it’s fixed. Sometimes I can fix it in ten minutes, other times it takes all day. I try to be straightforward with everyone who walks in. If I can't fix it, I’ll tell you where else to go. It’s a busy life at the chauraha, but I like being in the middle of everything. When the sun goes down, the lights of the intersection make the shop feel a bit different. I lock up and head home like everyone else. The noise stays with me for a while after I leave.
