Sahara Mobile

Working here at Sahara Mobile just outside the Chandpole gate is always interesting because of how much noise there is. You have the people coming and going from the main market all day long. My shop is small, but it’s packed with all kinds of mobile covers and chargers. I spend a lot of my time squinting at small phone screens trying to figure out why a touch sensor isn't working or peeling off old, cracked screen guards. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to pull the shutter halfway just to keep the water from splashing the electronics near the front. People walk in asking for all sorts of things, like a specific cable they saw online or just to get some balance put on their SIM card. I don’t have any big signs or anything. People just know where we are because we’ve been here for years. The tea stall next door is where I usually spend my five-minute breaks when there aren't any customers. Outside Chandpole is a busy place, and I think that’s why I like it. You see all sorts of people. Some are in a huge rush and others just want to talk while I fix their charging port. It’s just a normal mobile shop, nothing more, nothing less. I just keep the tools ready and wait for the next person to walk in.
