Rounak Public Upper Primary School Tidi

Our school is located in Vpo-Tidi, within the Tesil-Girva area of Udaipur. We are right off National Highway 8 near Gosiya. Because we are near the highway, there is always a sense of movement around us. Rounak Public Upper Primary School is a small place catering to the local village kids. The building is basic and sits on a plot of land that gets very hot in the summer. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just ceiling fans that hum all day. The kids walk from the nearby houses, often in groups, carrying their lunch boxes. Inside, the classrooms are simple with just the essentials. We try to keep things clean, but with the wind blowing off the highway, there’s always a bit of sand on the floors. The teachers are mostly from the local area, so they understand the struggles the families face. We don't have a big library or a computer lab with dozens of machines. We have books and we have teachers who care. Sometimes a stray cow wanders near the gate, and we have to shoo it away. It’s just life in a rural part of Rajasthan. We take things one day at a time, making sure the children learn their lessons and get home safely. It’s not a complicated setup, just a village school doing its job for the community here in Tidi.
