Crayons Kindergarten

Crayons Kindergarten is tucked away at 96-A, Sec-6 in Udaipur City. It is a residential area, so it feels very safe and quiet compared to the main city center. We deal with the very little ones here, so the days are usually filled with a lot of noise, crying, and laughing. The rooms are painted with some colors to make them look a bit more cheerful for the children. We have small chairs and tables that are just the right size for three and four-year-olds. Most of the staff are women who live nearby and have a lot of patience for handling toddlers who would rather be at home with their mothers. Udaipur gets very hot, so we try to keep the kids inside during the afternoons. Parents usually drop their kids off on scooters or walk them to the gate before heading to work. We have a few shelves of old toys and picture books that have been used by many kids over the years. There is no big marketing plan here; we just rely on the neighbors telling each other about us. We teach the alphabet, some basic numbers, and how to share things with others. It is a small operation, really just a few rooms and a little outdoor space for them to jump around. We spend a lot of time wiping sticky fingers and making sure everyone gets their afternoon snack from their lunch boxes.
