Rinis Preschool

Rinis Preschool sits at number 2, Sagar Darshan, along Rani Road in Udaipur. This part of the city is quite nice because we are near the water, though we are mostly focused on what’s happening inside our walls. It’s a small place meant for the youngest children in our community. We have a few rooms where the kids spend their time drawing or playing with puzzles. The building is an older style, typical of this part of Udaipur-Rajasthan. We get a bit of a breeze from the lake sometimes, which helps with the heat. The parents who bring their children here are usually from the nearby residential areas. We try to keep a very relaxed atmosphere because the kids are so small. There isn’t a strict schedule, just a general flow of play and rest. We have some colorful mats on the floor and some shelves for their bags. The staff here are just regular people from the neighborhood who like working with children. We don't use any complicated teaching methods. We just talk to the kids and help them learn their basics. Rani Road can get busy with tourists sometimes, but our corner stays relatively calm. It’s a humble little school. We just do our best to make sure the children are safe and occupied until their parents come back at noon. Most of our days are spent dealing with small spills and sharing stories with the little ones until it's time to go.
