Pragati Telecom is right there at Ashwini Bazar 26/27. If you’ve been to Ashwini Bazar, you know it never really stays quiet. There are always motorcycles zooming past and people looking for a bargain. Our shop isn't very large, but we make it work. We have glass counters filled with SIM cards and small accessories. Most of the day is spent helping people who can't get their internet to work or who need a quick recharge. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. We keep a few stools for people to sit on while they wait, but they are usually covered in newspapers or bags. It’s just a normal shop. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive decorations. The walls have some old posters that have started to peel at the corners. When it’s hot, we just drink a lot of water and keep the door open to get whatever breeze comes through the market. We know the other shopkeepers around 26/27, and we often share a tiffin during lunch. There isn't much to say about it. We are just here every day, doing what we do. People come in, get what they need, and head back out into the noise of the bazaar. It’s a simple routine and we’ve gotten used to the pace of it.
