My Choice

Hathipole is one of those places where you can get lost if you’re not careful. Our shop, My Choice, is at number 77. We deal with clothes mostly, though we have some other things too. It’s a small space, so we have to hang things from the ceiling and pack the racks pretty tight. People come in looking for something specific, and usually, I can find it buried under a few other items. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding all day long. The mirror in the back is a bit small and tilted, but it does the job. Hathipole 77 is a good location because of all the foot traffic. You see people from all over the world walking past the door. Some days are very slow, and I just sit and watch the traffic go by, while other days everyone wants something at the same time. The floor is concrete and we put a small rug down to make it feel a bit more comfortable for the customers. We don't have a big staff, just me and occasionally a cousin who needs some extra work on the weekends. Dealing with customers can be tricky when they want to haggle over the price for twenty minutes, but that’s just part of the business in this market. We try to keep a variety of colors and sizes, but sometimes we run out of the popular ones. It’s a simple shop with a simple name. We’ve been here a while and don't plan on moving anywhere else. The ceiling fan clicks when it's on high.
