Down at 171 in Udaipur City, you’ll find our building where we run Iict College Of It & Mgmt. It’s right in the heart of Udaipur-Rajasthan, 313001, so there’s always a bit of dust and a lot of movement outside. Our computer labs are usually the busiest spots. You can hear the constant clicking of keyboards and the low hum of the machines running all day. Some of the monitors are a bit older than others, but they get the job done for the students. The office is often a mess of forms and old folders that we need to sort through. We spend a lot of time sitting on those plastic chairs, talking to people who come in asking about classes. The sunlight hits the front windows quite hard in the afternoon, making it a bit warm if we don’t keep the blinds down. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for making tea during the mid-day slump. It’s a practical sort of place without any unnecessary decorations. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know all the little quirks of the building, like which door needs a hard push to close properly. When the evening comes, we shut down the computers one by one and wait for the last student to leave before heading home through the busy city streets. It’s just how things go here day after day.
