Electrovision Gsm Zone is right in the middle of Bapu Bazar. If you know the market, you know it's always loud and full of people walking around. Our shop is one of those spots where there are phones and wires everywhere. We have a couple of stools for people to sit on while they wait for their mobile screens to be fixed or their software to get updated. The glass cases are full of different phone models, mostly second-hand ones that we’ve cleaned up. There's a tea stall nearby, and the smell of ginger tea often drifts into the shop during the afternoons. It can get pretty hot inside when the market is crowded, and the air conditioning struggles to keep up with the door opening every two minutes. We spend a lot of time looking through small magnifying glasses at circuit boards. Bapu Bazar is a competitive place, so we just focus on the work sitting on our desk. The shelves behind us are piled with spare parts, old batteries, and chargers that people often lose. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a repair because someone needs their phone back for work the next morning. It’s not a quiet job, with the noise of the street coming in all day long. We just handle the customers as they come, whether they want a new tempered glass or just a cheap cable for their car. It’s what we do.
