Best Plastic

Best Plastic is over at 14, Maraikkar Palli Street here in Kayalpatnam. It’s a narrow street, but we’ve managed to make it work for us. We’ve been in this neighborhood for quite a few years now. The shop is filled with all kinds of plastic items, from buckets to storage bins and everything else in between. We don’t have a lot of space, so things are often stacked high. You have to be careful when you’re walking through the aisles. Kayalpatnam is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we get a lot of regulars. They come in for a chat as much as they do for shopping. We keep the place open six days a week. On Fridays, we close for a bit in the afternoon like most others on Maraikkar Palli Street. It’s a traditional way of doing things. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our sales. We just write everything down in a big notebook. It works for us and we’ve never had a problem. The sea breeze sometimes reaches us, which is nice when it gets humid. We are just a small local shop trying to make a living. No big corporate plans or anything like that. If you need something for your home, you can just stop by number 14. We will probably have what you need buried under a pile of other things. We just try to keep the doors open and the neighbors happy.
