Sri Manjunatha Solid Blocks

If you find yourself on the service road in Kyathsandra, you’ll see Sri Manjunatha Solid Blocks at 41/163. We spend most of our time out in the yard dealing with the heavy stuff. Making solid blocks is hard work and it definitely shows on our clothes by the end of the shift. The highway is right there, so there's a constant hum of engines in the background while we’re stacking the finished blocks. It’s a dusty job, and the yard is usually covered in a thin layer of sand and grit. We don’t have much in the way of a front desk; usually, someone just walks out from the back when a customer pulls up on the service road. The weather can be a bit of a challenge, especially when the rain starts and we have to cover everything up quickly. We’ve been at this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners nearby. It’s a practical setup meant for work, not for showing off. The blocks sit in the sun to cure, and we just keep an eye on the piles to make sure they’re drying right. It’s a repetitive kind of day, but there’s something okay about seeing the rows of blocks all lined up. We just do our bit and go home tired after the sun sets behind the highway buildings.
