Shree Mookambika Driving School

Our place is in Tumkur, right at the 9th Cross near that Piza Burger shop. It’s a fairly easy location to find if you know the area. We’ve been running this driving school for some time, helping people get used to being behind the wheel for the first time. Tumkur isn't as crazy as some big cities, but you still have to know what you’re doing on the road to stay safe. We take people out in the morning or evening, whenever they can find the time in their day. We go over the gears, the indicators, and how to reverse without getting into a mess. It’s mostly about building up enough confidence to drive alone. A lot of our students are locals who just want to be able to get to work or run errands on their own. The office is pretty basic, just a spot to talk about the classes and sort out the government forms. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone is struggling with the hill start or parallel parking, we just spend more time on it until they get it right. It’s a slow process sometimes, and that’s perfectly fine with us. We’ve seen all kinds of learners, some who learn in a week and others who take a month. We just stick with them until they’re ready for the test. It’s a small local operation, nothing more, nothing less than that.
