S L N Motor Driving School is over on BH Road, right by the 9th Cross in Ashokanagara. If you live in Tumkur, you've probably seen our white cars driving around with the big red 'L' signs on them. We have been teaching people how to drive for quite a while. It’s mostly about getting people comfortable behind the wheel so they don't panic when they see the traffic. We start on the quieter streets around the 572101 area before heading out to the busier parts of town. The office is just a simple room where we handle the paperwork and the license forms. It’s not much to look at, just a couple of plastic chairs and an old desk. We spend most of our time out in the cars anyway. My brother and I take turns with the students throughout the day. Some learn fast, while others take a few extra weeks to get the hang of the clutch, and that’s perfectly fine with us. The cars aren’t brand new, but they run well and the brakes are solid, which is the main thing. We talk to the students about the roads and how to watch out for the bikes and the cows that wander into the street. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for the gears to click right. We’ve had all sorts of people come through here, from teenagers to older folks. It keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
