Ambika Motor Driving School

The office is in the Annapoorneshwari Complex on BH Road. Being right opposite the RTO office is both a blessing and a bit of a headache. We see the inspectors every day, and our students get extra nervous just looking across the street at where their test will be. Tumkur traffic can be a bit unpredictable, so we try to get the practice rounds in when the roads are a bit clearer. The complex where we are is always busy with people coming and going for different errands. Our space is just a simple room with a few posters on the walls about road signs and safety. Most of the time, the cars are out on the road anyway. We have a couple of instructors who have been with us for a long time. They have seen every kind of mistake a learner can make. We keep a big jug of water in the corner because it gets really hot in the afternoons. Sometimes we have to deal with paperwork issues at the RTO, so we spend a lot of time walking back and forth across the road. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels good to help someone get their independence. We just take it one student at a time and try to keep everyone calm behind the wheel. We have an old calendar on the wall from three years ago that no one changed.
