Sai Fly Ash Bricks

We are based out of Rr Kandikai, near the Karikulavakkam Post office. If you're looking for 992, that's where we’ve set up our machines for the fly ash bricks. It’s a bit different from the traditional clay ones people are used to, but it keeps us busy. The yard is usually gray because of the ash, which gets everywhere if there’s a breeze. We started this because we saw a lot of demand for newer materials in the local area. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the raw material in, mix it up, and press them into shape. The machine makes a lot of noise, so we usually start a bit later in the morning to keep the neighbors happy. It’s a small crew of about five or six of us. We spend most of the day loading pallets and checking the mix consistency. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, which is frustrating, but you get used to it around here. We don't have any sales people or a fancy front desk. You just walk up to the shed and talk to whoever is operating the press. We keep a ledger on a wooden table to track who took what. It’s practical work. We just want to make sure the stacks are straight and ready for pick-up. We don't need much more than that.
