United Public School

We are tucked away in Metrathi Village, which is near Kaniyur in the Udumalpet area. It’s a quiet spot compared to the bigger towns around here, and the school building is right there on the main path where everyone passes by. Most of the kids come from the nearby houses or the surrounding farms. We start the day with a simple assembly in the open area. It’s a very basic setup. We have the rooms for the classes and a bit of space for the kids to stretch their legs. The trees around the village give us some much-needed shade during the hotter months of the year. We don't have any big corporate backing, we are just a local school doing the work. The teachers mostly live nearby, so they know the families well. We deal with the frequent power cuts when they happen and just keep the classes going as best as we can. The kids bring their own tiffin boxes and sit together during the lunch break. We follow the state rules for the classes and the exams. It's a lot of walking back and forth for the staff during the day. We make sure the attendance registers are filled out correctly every morning. Life moves a bit slower here in the village. We see the same familiar faces every day at the gate. It's just us out here in the 642203 area, keeping the place clean and functional for the students who come to learn every day.
