Rajaveni Engineering Works

We have been sitting here at 2/196-E in R.G. Layout for quite some time now. This part of the S.V. Mills area gets a bit busy, but we don’t mind the noise. Rajaveni Engineering Works is basically just a small workshop where we handle metal work and machine parts. If you walk past the post office, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have our lathes and tools scattered around where we need them. Sometimes the floor is a bit oily, but that’s just how engineering shops are. Most days, we are busy with small jobs for people around here. My father started this place, and I just took over because it’s what I know how to do. We don't really do big advertisements. Usually, someone just tells their neighbor about us and they show up at the door with a broken part. We spend most of the morning drinking tea and looking at drawings before we start the machines. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the work has to get done anyway. We don't have a big team, just a couple of guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly where every wrench is kept even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It is just a regular life here, making things and fixing things until it is time to close the shutters and go home.
