World Wide Exports

Our place is at No. 10/ 5 on Sivaloganather Street. Samathanapuram is a busy area, so there’s always noise outside. We’ve been running World Wide Exports from here for quite a few years now. The office is on a street that can get a bit cramped when two cars try to pass each other. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking emails to see where the containers are. There is a small storage room in the back where we keep samples. It's not the biggest office, but we have enough room for the four of us. The walls could use a new coat of paint, honestly. We have a big map on the wall that's getting a bit old now. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit. Our neighbors run a small printing shop and they’re good people. We handle everything from here, from the first call to the final shipping papers. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. We don't have any fancy software, just some old spreadsheets that do the trick. Usually, we finish up around six and lock the gate. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing. Every day is pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We stay focused on the work and ignore the traffic noise. Sometimes we get the local papers delivered, but mostly it's just bills and shipping notices.
