Jayam Exports

If you are driving down Main Road in Kadapokathy, you’ll see our place at No. 302. We are Jayam Exports, and we have been operating out of this spot in Thenkasi for some time. The building is simple, just enough space for our supplies and the desk work we have to keep up with. It gets a bit dusty being right on the main road, but that’s part of being here. We deal with various goods that need to be sent out. Usually, there's a lot of sorting involved. I started this because I knew the area well and saw there was a need for someone to handle the shipping and packing part of the business. It’s mostly just a few of us. We aren't a huge corporation with a human resources department or anything. If someone has a question, they just shout across the room. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and local suppliers. Sometimes things arrive late, and that throws our whole schedule off, which can be frustrating. We just do our best to catch up the next day. Thenkasi is a good place to be, and being on the main road helps with getting trucks in and out. It’s a lot of manual work and tracking numbers. We don't do anything fancy, just the daily tasks required to keep the inventory moving. It is a living, and we just focus on doing things right one day at a time.
