Aishwarya Exports

If you walk down No. 8 Kuravanji Street in Vannarpettai, you will find our small warehouse. It is a brick building that has seen better days, but it keeps the rain off the goods. Aishwarya Exports is run by a small group of us who don't care much for suits or fancy titles. We mostly wear comfortable shoes because we are on our feet all day on the concrete floor. Vannarpettai is a crowded area, so getting things in and out requires a bit of patience and some good luck with the traffic. We keep our records in big binders because sometimes the computer is just too slow. The street outside is always full of people, and the smell of the local market is never far away. We handle the exporting side of things, which mostly means a lot of taping up boxes and checking the weights. No one here is trying to be a big corporate executive. We just want to make sure the containers are filled properly and the addresses are written clearly. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, and we just order some food and keep going. It’s honest work, and it keeps us out of trouble. The walls at No. 8 could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. We just keep moving the inventory out the door as fast as we can.
