Tenkasi is a beautiful place, and working on South Kadaya Street keeps us right in the middle of the local action. We do export and import work, which basically means we spend our time moving goods in and out. It sounds simple but there is a lot of tracking and checking involved. We aren't a big, flashy company. Our office is just a regular room with some desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. We prefer it that way. It’s more personal. We talk to people directly and handle the details ourselves. There are no fancy departments here, just us. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We deal with all sorts of items depending on the season and what people are looking for. It’s interesting to see where things come from and where they end up. We like the rhythm of life here in Tenkasi. Most of our neighbors on South Kadaya Street are also running small businesses, so there is a nice sense of community. We just focus on getting our shipments out on time and making sure the documents are correct. It’s a steady job that keeps us connected to the rest of the world.
