Ariya Naachiar Exports

We’ve got our place at 957-D on Barathy Street. It’s tucked away a bit from the main view, so you have to look for the door carefully. It’s a simple setup for the export business we run here. We spend most of our time dealing with local suppliers and then figuring out how to get everything sent overseas. The office is small and usually smells a bit like the paper and ink we use for all the shipping forms. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and some old maps of the ports. It’s usually just us and the sound of the traffic from the main road nearby. We do a lot of the packing ourselves because it’s easier to know it’s done right that way. Sometimes the heat gets to be a lot in the afternoon, so we take it a bit slower and have some cold water or a quick snack. People come by to drop off samples or just to check on how their orders are progressing. We’ve been on Barathy Street for a long time and know most of the people around here. It’s a good community to be part of. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a small export outfit trying to make a living and keep the items moving. There’s always something to do, whether it’s fixing a box or chasing down a missing document.
