Sri Exports & Imports

Sri Exports & Imports is located at 2-134 Ayya House in Ambalavanapuram, which is out towards Mahendragiri. It is a bit of a drive from the main city areas, but we like it out here. Our office is actually part of a house, which makes the whole business feel a lot more personal. We handle both exports and imports from this one location. It’s a family-run kind of setup, so things are pretty informal. We don’t have a big staff or any corporate hierarchy. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. Most of our day is spent tracking shipments and making sure the transporters are on schedule. The house stays relatively cool even in the summer, which is good because we spend a lot of time at our desks. We have known the people around Ambalavanapuram for a long time, and we mostly get our work through those local connections. There isn't any fancy furniture or a big meeting room. We usually just sit around the main table and go over the ledgers. It is a quiet way to run a business, but we keep busy enough. Sometimes the shipments take a while to reach us because of the distance, but we have learned to plan around that. It is just a small, honest business running out of a home, and that is how we like it.
