If you know Chennai, you know G.S.T. Road is almost always moving. Our address at 1/24 puts Trident Hilton Chennai right in the thick of it, not far from the airport at all. You can hear the city hum if you stand outside near the gate, but once you step inside, the thick walls do their job. It’s a big operation here, with a lot of different people working together to keep the place running. Some of us have been here since the early days, while the younger ones are still learning which room numbers are which. We don’t really do the whole corporate talk thing. We just tell it like it is. If the rain is coming down hard, we’re out there with umbrellas. If someone is late for a flight, we’re trying to find them a car. The 600027 area is busy, and we are just one part of that daily rush. The carpets are soft, the lights are usually dimmed just right, and there is always coffee brewing somewhere in the back. We don't claim to be anything other than a solid place to stay when you're in town. We keep the bathrooms scrubbed and the pillows fluffed because that’s the work. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we like the people we meet along the way. Most folks just want a quiet corner after a long day on the road, and we provide that.
