The Leela Palace

We are The Leela Palace and you can find us in Uppiliapuram, which is near Trichy in Tamil Nadu. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the big cities, but we like the location. It is a real part of India, away from all the massive crowds and non-stop noise. We have been here for a while, and the local people in Uppiliapuram know us well. We don't really do the whole polished marketing thing. Our place is what it is. We just try to keep things running and make sure everyone who comes through our doors is looked after. Trichy is the closest big town, so we get a lot of our supplies and things from there. The building itself is just part of the local landscape now. We don't have a team of people writing fancy brochures. We just tell it like it is. Being in Tamil Nadu gives us a certain way of doing things, and we stick to that. It is simple, honest work every day. The weather here can be quite something, but we are used to it. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just provide a place for people in this part of the country. It is a straightforward operation. We are glad to be rooted in this specific spot in Uppiliapuram.
