Shri Hotel Bhavani

You can find us on Vayalur Main Road in the Puthur area of Trichy. We are at number 1/2, right near B G Naidu Sweets. That sweet shop is very popular, so there are always people around Kumaran Nagar. Shri Hotel Bhavani is a local spot where people come for a quick bite or a coffee. The road outside is very narrow and the traffic can be quite bad during the office hours. We have some regular customers who have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. It’s nice to see that. The kitchen is always steaming and smells like spices and fried things. We don't have many staff, just a few people who have been with us for a long time. We treat each other like family. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon hits hard, but we just put a bucket under it and carry on. We don't have any air conditioning, just the breeze coming in from the door and the ceiling fans. People don't seem to mind. They come for the food and the familiar faces. We start cooking before the sun comes up to be ready for the breakfast crowd. By the evening, we are all pretty tired, but we stay open until the last customer leaves. It’s just how we run things here in this part of Puthur.
