R. A. Garments

R. A. Garments is over here at No. 78/136A, tucked into Vardhamal Garden 3rd Street. It's a busy little spot on Barakkah Roadsecretariat Colony area of Kilpauk. We spend most of our days among the machines and rolls of fabric. The shop isn't huge, but it gets the job done. People usually find us by looking for the gate near the corner of the garden lane. It's a bit of a walk from the main road, but that keeps things a little quieter while we’re working on the stitching and cutting. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we just kind of know what needs to happen without talking too much about it. Sometimes the power goes out, or the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow street, but we manage. We’ve been in this Kilpauk neighborhood for a while now. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the tables are sturdy. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and clearing off the dust. We deal with all sorts of orders that come through. It’s mostly just the sound of the needles and the fans humming in the background. If you’re walking through Vardhamal Garden, you’ll likely hear us before you see the sign. It’s just how things are run around here. Nothing fancy, just a lot of work getting done every day and making sure the pieces are finished.
