Sri Mari Readymade

Sri Mari Readymade is tucked away on West Street in Paliyur. It’s a quiet part of the area near Thiruppainjili, but we get people coming in from all over Mannachanallur. We sell mostly ready-made clothes, like shirts, pants, and stuff for kids. The shop isn't fancy, just rows of racks and shelves filled with different colors and sizes. We spend a lot of time folding things back up after someone has been looking through the piles. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting by the door or helping someone find a size that fits. During festival times it gets really crowded in here and we have to squeeze through the aisles to reach the stock. We don't have any big displays or neon lights, just the clothes and a few mirrors. People around here know us by name, and we know most of them too. Sometimes we get new patterns in and it takes a while to get them all sorted on the hangers. The building is older, but it stays cool enough even when it’s hot outside. We’ve been here at No. 62 for quite some time now. It’s just about providing clothes that people need for their daily lives or a special occasion without making it complicated. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. It’s a steady pace most of the time.
