New Glamour

New Glamour is located at number 57 in Nekhundhi, right by the Pallakodu Bus Stop. Being so close to where the buses pull in means we see a lot of people every single day. There’s always a crowd outside waiting for their ride, and the sound of the bus engines is something we’ve grown very used to. Our shop is a busy little place. We have things displayed where people can see them as they walk past. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time with a duster in hand. It’s not a high-end boutique with carpets. We have hard floors that are easy to sweep. The lights are bright so people can see what we have on the shelves. We have a small mirror in the back and a counter where we keep the register. Most of our customers are just passing through or live in the nearby houses. We know many of them by name. Sometimes people just come in to get out of the sun for a minute while they wait for the next bus to Pallakodu. We don’t mind. It’s a friendly atmosphere. We keep the door open most of the time to let the breeze in. By the time the last bus leaves, we are usually starting to count the till and get ready to close up. It’s a simple way to spend the day in Nekhundhi.
