New Malabar Hotel

New Malabar Hotel is down on Thanjavur Road in the Subramaniapuram area of Trichy. We are situated near the TVS Tolgate, which is a big landmark around here. If you know the tolgate, you can find us pretty easily. We’ve been serving Malabar style food for quite some time now. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and buses passing by, so we get a lot of travelers who are just stopping for a quick meal before continuing their journey. The hotel isn't a place for staying overnight, it's just what we call restaurants in this part of the country. I spend my days mostly in the back or helping at the counter. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the fans are always on full blast to deal with the Trichy heat. We don't have a corporate office or any fancy branding. It’s just us, some pots and pans, and the customers who walk in. Some are regulars who work at the nearby shops and some are just strangers passing through the tolgate. It’s a simple life, really. We start early to get the morning food ready and stay open until the dinner rush is over. There’s no big secret to how we run things, we just show up and do the work. It’s a local spot for people who want something familiar and fast. We have been right here for years and people know us.
