N L J Exports is tucked away at No:3, Chinnakadai Street in Malaivasal. If you know the area, you know Chinnakadai Street is always full of energy and people moving things around. We deal with exports, which basically means we spend our days packing things up, checking lists, and making sure everything is ready to go where it needs to go. It can get pretty crowded inside with all the boxes and crates stacked up, but we have a system that works for us. Working in Malaivasal means we are right in the middle of the local trade scene. You can hear the sounds of the street all day long, from the vegetable sellers to the delivery trucks squeezing through. At No:3, we don’t have a lot of room for luxury, but we have exactly what we need to get the shipping done. Some days are a bit chaotic when a big order comes in, and everyone has to pitch in to get it sorted. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation; we just like handling our business right here on the street. People drop in and out, and there is always a cup of tea being passed around somewhere. It is just a regular local business trying to keep things moving smoothly for our customers. We’ve been on this street for a bit and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It's noisy, but it's home.
