Kohinoor Hotel

Kohinoor Hotel is situated at No 184 on Strahans Road. This is the Perambur Barracks area of Chennai, which most people around here just call Pattalam. It is an old part of the city with a lot of history in the streets and the buildings. We have been at this address for quite some time now. The road out front is usually packed with bikes, cars, and those big city buses. Working in the 600012 area means you get used to the humidity and the constant sound of horns. The building itself is nothing out of the ordinary, just a solid structure on Strahans Road. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and making sure everything is in order for when the doors are open. It is a bit of a walk from the main station but people always find their way here. The neighbors are mostly other small shops and people who have lived in Pattalam their whole lives. We see the same faces every morning when the tea stalls nearby start up their stoves. It gets dark early in the winter months, but the street lights on Strahans Road keep things visible enough. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us here at No 184. We focus on the daily chores like checking the supplies and making sure the fans are working. It is an honest way to make a living in Chennai.
