Edify Kids

We are over at No 8/32, First Main Road, in the Kalyana Sundaram Nagar area of Karumandapam. Trichy is a busy place, and our little corner in Karumandapam is no different. Edify Kids is where the younger children spend their mornings. The building is colorful and we have some play equipment out front. It’s not a huge place, but it’s enough for the little ones to move around. The noise here is different from a high school; it’s more about crying, laughing, and singing nursery rhymes. We spend a lot of time wiping tables and helping kids with their bags. The teachers here have to be very patient because toddlers have a mind of their own. Parents are always dropping by to check on things or to pick up their kids early. We have some toys that are a bit worn out from use, but the kids don't seem to mind. The street outside is usually quiet enough, which is good for us. We try to keep the rooms tidy, but with paints and crayons everywhere, it’s a bit of a struggle. It’s a practical environment for learning the basics like colors and numbers. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just about looking after the children and giving them a place to be while their parents are at work. Every day is a bit different depending on the mood of the kids. We just focus on keeping them safe.
