Anantha Krishnan Hi-Tech Rice Mill

Our mill is located at No : 42/4 C on Sinthamani Road in Rajaman Nagar. The name is Anantha Krishnan Hi-Tech Rice Mill, which sounds a bit fancy, but we are just regular people doing a regular job. We did put in some newer equipment a while back to help with the sorting and cleaning of the rice, which is where the "Hi-Tech" part comes from. It helps us keep things moving faster than the old ways did. Even with the machines, there is still a lot of manual labor involved. We have to haul the heavy bags and watch the machines to make sure nothing gets stuck. Rajaman Nagar is a decent place to work, and Sinthamani Road stays busy with traffic all day. We have a small yard where the loaders do their thing. The crew here is small, just a few local guys who know how to handle the grain. We don't spend any time on branding or making things look pretty. The mill is functional and that is what matters. Most of our customers are people we have known for a long time. They know they can find us here during our regular hours. We just focus on processing the paddy and making sure the bags are weighed correctly. It is a steady business and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit; we are all in work clothes and usually have rice dust on our shirts. It's just the way it goes.
