It’s a bit of an industrial spot, so there’s usually a bit of noise from the machinery going on throughout the day. We’ve got a big space here to house all the equipment we need. The floor is concrete and stays pretty cool, even when it’s boiling outside in Chinnadharapuram. We spend a lot of our time just maintaining the machines and making sure everything is running the way it should be. It’s dusty work, and we usually end the day with a layer of grit on our skin, but that’s the nature of the business. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone comes by, they usually just walk in and find one of us on the floor. We handle a lot of different batches every week, and each one takes a bit of time to get through. The power goes out every now and then, which can be a real headache, but we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the machines better than we know our own cars. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town, nothing more to it than that.
