M S Granites

M S Granites is located in Kaipamangalam, sitting right along the NH-17 highway. Being on the main road in the Kodungallor Taluk means we see a lot of people passing through every single day. We have our granite display out where it can be seen from the road, though the dust from the highway means we are always cleaning things off. The weather here can be quite humid, and when the monsoon hits, we have to make sure everything is draining properly so the yard doesn't turn into a pond. It’s a simple operation. We have a small area where we sit and talk to people, and then the rest is just rows of granite slabs. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or have a big marketing team. It’s just us showing people what we have in stock and telling them how much it costs. The work is heavy and we spend a lot of time on our feet, moving from one end of the lot to the other. Sometimes the traffic on NH-17 is so loud we have to shout to be heard, but that is just part of being in such a busy location. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local contractors know us by name. We just try to keep a decent variety of stone so there is something for everyone who pulls off the highway.
