Planet Soda

You can find Planet Soda on Convent Road in Neyyattinkara. We have been at Plot No. 77 for a while now. It’s a simple setup where we spend our time with CO2 tanks and glass bottles. The sound of the gas hissing is the background noise of our lives. We aren't located in a flashy part of town, just a normal street with some houses and other small businesses nearby. The work is mostly manual, moving heavy crates from one side of the room to the other. Our hands usually smell like different fruit syrups by the end of the shift. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's hot outside. We have a few old chairs in the corner where we sit when things slow down. It isn't a place for tourists or anything, just a workspace. Sometimes the machine acts up and we have to spend an hour fixing a belt or a valve. We don't mind it much. Most of us live nearby, so the commute is just a short walk or a bike ride. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy things for us. We just fill the bottles, cap them, and get them ready for the trucks. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years. Just a local soda place in a quiet neighborhood.
